In 2012, the Canada-India Business Council celebrated their 30th year anniversary. The C-IBC is Canada’s link to India and is a long-standing advocate of bilateral trade and investment growth between the two nations. Wanting to produce a corporate brand video highlighting their accomplishments, rich history and bright, exciting future, the council turned to VCM Interactive, a Toronto based, full service video production company to produce the video.
Video Production Strategy for C-IBC
VCM worked closely with the C-IBC team to strategize a video that would best suite the council’s purpose, timeline and budget. The video features interviews and testimonial video from key C-IBC members who all share in telling the council’s story. VCM created a custom motion graphic intro in 3D/2D animation to open up the video and show the evolution of the C-IBC logo. The vibrant history of the council was captured in the corporate video through archival stills that the council had been saving throughout the years.
Cinematic b-roll video footage was captured of downtown Toronto to showcase the C-IBC HQ and the flourishing downtown financial core. Paul Nandrajog, VCM’s Producer states, “I was proud to create a video and work with C-IBC. I have roots in India, so this project meant a lot to me and I wanted to do something special for the council.” It was reported that the video was well received at the C-IBC Diwali Gala function in the fall of 2012. The video was presented twice at the crowded event, which included members and the council’s prestigious supporting patrons.
